CEBU, Philippines – Property developer Nexus Real Estate Corporation is spending at least a billion pesos to accelerate the completion of its first integrated development project called Antara located in Talisay City.
The company’s chief executive officer Shanna Louise T. Lopez announced that the 2.9 hectare development, positioned as eco-conscious mixed-use enclave, will provide a little over a thousand condominium units for Cebu in the next couple of years.
The five-tower masterplan has recently been re-branded to suit the changing atmosphere in the southern sphere of Cebu with the fast development of the South Road Properties and other pocket economic developments sprouting within the area.
Previously named as Amandari, the company changed its brand to Antara to fit its Balinese themed environment, as well as incorporating living, recreation and anything in between within the development.
“Antara is an Indonesian phrase which means ‘in-between.’ This is more reflective of the multi-dimensional feature of the project,” said Lopez in a press conference.
The entire development will feature five mid-rise condominiums, ranging from eight to 12 floors. About 70 percent of the total number of units will be designed for residential dwellers, the rest are for SOHO (small-office-home-office) buyers
The development will also have hotel and BPO office facilities, she added.
The Antara Adventure Park, which is projected to be the project’s major come-on will be an urban adventurer’s dream, she said adding that the park will feature a zipline, a 1.5 km hiking/jogging trail, hanging bridge, outdoor paintball arena, wall climbing facilities, mini-golf course, kiddie playground and a host of other amenities.
Aside from Antara, Nexus has several residential projects within Metro Cebu, Lopez said the company is looking at expanding its project portfolio for residential and commercial developments in the next couple of years. (FREEMAN)
